In downtown Winston, empty storefronts have been filled with potential.

Before there was Finnegan’s Wake, Krankies, The Porch or Bailey Park, there was Alfred Adams (’68, JD ’73). Countless Winston-Salem entrepreneurs owe Alfred a huge “thanks, man” for the financial boost those downtown business owners needed. Alfred’s vision and support for economic incentives attracted many of the unique galleries, pubs, shops and restaurants Wake Forest students and local residents enjoy today.

Plus, he pieced together the real estate deal that made Wake Forest Innovation Quarter a reality.

See Alfred’s story below.
