Misty Copeland to deliver 2026 Commencement address

Ballet dancer and author Misty Copeland will deliver Wake Forest's commencement address on May 18. Copeland made history as the first Black woman to become a principal dancer at the American Ballet Theatre. Rev. Eugene Cho, president and CEO of Bread for the World, will be the Baccalaureate speaker.

Meet Natalia House (’26). 🎓

From Resident Advisor to Wake Forest Cheerleader, Natalia found community by putting herself out there and discovering where she belonged.

Natalia entered Wake Forest planning to become a nurse, but through campus involvement, @wfuopcd mentorship and career exploration, she discovered a passion for marketing.

Meet Carter Kowalski (’26). 🎓

A double major in Business and Enterprise Management and History with a minor in Entrepreneurship, Carter balanced academics, leadership and life at full speed, from maintaining the top class rank to competing as a professional skier.

Along the way, he found community in the people and traditions that shaped his time at Wake Forest, from Lovefeast to being named Homecoming King.

Next, Carter will begin his career as an analyst at JPMorgan Chase.
