On October 11, 1962, Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. stood in Wait Chapel and addressed an audience of 2,200 Wake Forest students, faculty, and community members. Corey D. B. Walker walks us through that historic day and its lasting significance, reflecting on the ideas King shared and the work that remains unfinished.

Corey D. B. Walker is the dean of the Wake Forest University School of Divinity, a Wake Forest Professor of the Humanities and the director of the Program in African American Studies.
