Reflection

Follow effective action with quiet reflection. From the quiet reflection will come even more effective action.

According to the North Carolina Professional Teaching Standards, teachers reflect on their own teaching practices by looking back at student achievement and trying in any way possible to improve effectiveness in the classroom. Teachers should consistently monitor and adapt their teaching as new ideas to improve teaching and learning are developed. I believe that this website is going to be a great way for me to reflect on my own teaching. As I grow as a teacher, I can update this website to reflect my new personal views on each of the five Professional Teaching Standards as well as add my work to show how I have been successful in each of the five areas.

Reflections:

Self-Reflection on Scarcity Lesson (Spring 2009)
Reflection on Fellow Teacher Candidate Lessons (Spring 2009)
Post-Lesson Analysis on Pollination Lesson (Spring 2009)
