Leadership

If your actions inspire others to dream more, learn more, do more and become more, you are a leader.

According to the North Carolina Professional Teaching Standards, teachers should be leaders both in and outside the classroom. Teachers are role models for their students, demonstrating organization, responsibility, resourcefulness, and collaboration. Teachers should look out for the best interest of the students and work toward improving education and the teaching profession. I will strive to instill self confidence and leadership into my students as well as guide them, through my own actions, to be successful, respectable members of the 21st century society. I value honesty and integrity not only inside, but also outside my classroom and will hold my students to those high standards as well.

Creating a home-school connection is important for success as a leader in the classroom. Click here for the newsletter I created to send home to parents at the beginning of the year.
