Hi! My name is Beth Ward, and I am a junior at Wake Forest University majoring in Elementary Education and minoring in Psychology. I was born and raised in Nashville, TN, but I love to travel and have been all over the world. I am so excited to see where education will take me after I graduate.

Through Wake’s Elementary Education Program, I have been able to observe and teach several elementary classes in the Winston-Salem/ Forsyth County School District. Through my observations as well my classes at Wake, I have received a wide variety of classroom management strategies, teaching methods, lesson activities and technology integration techniques. With this new information, I am equipped to form my own teaching philosophy and have created this website to showcase my views and highlight my growth as a teacher candidate. I will update this site as I move through Wake’s Elementary Education Program to reflect my growing understanding of the philosophies of teaching elementary education.

On this site you will find links to pages dedicated to each of the five North Carolina Professional Teaching Standards as well as valuable resources for teachers, students, and parents. I hope you will find this site useful. Feel free to explore, and please contact me if you have any questions! Thanks!
