There is this student in your English class whom you’ve been admiring from afar for the entire semester, but you haven’t had the nerve to speak to her. Yesterday she said bonjour to you for the first time! Now you’re determined to ask her out, but you’re too shy to ask her in person. Call her on the phone. Begin the conversation by asking her some details about the class you have together. Then ask her out for a specific day and time; if she’s busy try to reschedule. Be persistent--You’re pretty sure she’s interested.
