The Work Page

Cut to the chase; here's my resume'. It's WAY out of date…

I'm the Network Administrator in the Athletics Department of Wake Forest University. The job has three distinct areas of responsibility. First, I run the department's Unix-based network. We use Paciolan software for every phase of our business activities, from recruiting to ticket sales. Second, I provide hardware and software support for the department's computing equipment. I also provide staff training on an as-needed basis. Finally, I am the department's contact for office automation equipment.

On any given day, I may start by troubleshooting a network problem in my Mac lab, move to installing a networked HP printer and setting up new users on the Athletics network, and end up on the phone taking quotes for a new fax machine.

I hold the A+ certifications for both DOS/Windows and Macintosh systems, as well as IBM's certifications for Thinkpad, PS/2 MCA systems, and IBM Power Server systems.
