As a future teacher, I am aware of the North Carolina Standard Course of Study and the importance of following it for my student's success. I am aware of a variety of different teaching strategies in order to reach students that are on different levels of learning. In order to keep my student's attention it is very important to connect subjects and be able to relate them to other disciplines. As a future teacher in the 21st Century, I want my future students to be ready for the world and society that exists around them. I want my students to recognize a connection between the North Carolina Standard Course of Study and 21st Century content which includes global awareness. I want to make sure that I am very familiar with the content before I expose it to my students. In order to help them be successful, I am going to try my hardest to make learning as much fun as possible.
