"Based on a philosophy of teaching and learning that is consistent with current research, exemplary practices, and national standards, North Carolina educators seek to provide the most appropriate education possible for the diverse learners in the public schools of the state in order to prepare all students to become successful, contributing members of a 21 st century society and global economy."
- North Carolina Standard Course of Study
With the North Carolina Standard Course of Study as my guide, I will create a curriculum that challenges every individual and that also develops higher literacy skills. By providing the information taught in an engaging manner, the students will not only understand the material thoroughly, but a sense of curiosity instilled within them will motivate them to continue their learning outside of the classroom.
After many years of training, I am fully qualified to teach the students in my classroom and bring them to a full understanding beyond what they are expected to learn. By integrating many subject areas into my curriculum, I will create relationships between the core content taught in schools and the skills necessary to live in the 21st Century, like life and career skills and global awareness.
