As a kid, my family traveled from state to state. But, most of my life was spent here in good ol' Winston-Salem. After becoming bored with factory work, I enlisted in the US Navy's Nuclear Power Program. I was picked up as an instructor at the Naval Propulsion Training Facility and made the rank of Petty Officer First Class (E6). Military life was not always great, but I am positively glad that I enlisted.

After the Navy, I worked as a mechanic on boilers and high speed production machinery. It did not take long to reach a ceiling in pay and job advancement, so I decided to go back to college. And, here I am.
