Structured Web Activity
Introduction: As the human population begins to grow, the need to effectively and efficiently use space becomes increasingly important. In terms of basic infrastructure, nowhere is this more evident than the need for well-planned travel. This project allows students to use online maps and basic graph theory to investigate and plan airline routes between different locations. After completion of this project, students will have a better understanding of how to find shortest routes and the kind of problem solving that goes into planning and creating airline and traffic grids and teachers will have introduced important examples and real world applications of the topic, as well as relevant technological tools for the study of the subject.
