Teachers analyze their teaching, collaborate with colleagues, use research in their classrooms, and continue to grow professionally.
-Wake Forest University's Conceptual Framework
My teaching philosophy is based around reflection. To be able to teach in the most effective manner, one must reflect. When Cicero said, “It is not by muscle, speed, or physical dexterity that great things are achieved, but by reflection, force of character and judgment,” he hit the nail on the head. Many more advancements and improvements within the classroom can be made by intellectual fortitude rather than by brute strength. Keeping an open mind about making revisions to my lessons and being willing to change my teaching style to reach my students will give me a leg up. Even now, with my limited classroom experience I already realize that reflection is crucial for the successful teaching and reaching of every student.
