Leadership

Teachers lead in their classrooms and school, advocate for schools and children, function effectively in a complex community environment, meet high ethical standards of practice, and advocate for the teaching profession.

-Wake Forest University's Conceptual Framework

Being a leader is something that comes naturally for me. I have always enjoyed being in a leadership role and when I become a teacher things won’t change. Within my school, I will be a beacon of light. I will be a leader for my peers with my actions inside and outside of the classroom. I will constantly be looking for ways to improve my classroom, school and community.  I will conduct myself in a professional manner and set an example with my strong work ethic, knowledge, and dedication to the teaching profession. For my students I will be role model in every area; academically, mentally, physically and morally.  Being a leader and role model in and out of my classroom is important because it gives teachers a new path to follow, administrators unique ideas for improvements but most importantly, the students will have someone who will fight for them.
