My name is Michael Martell. I am a senior at Wake Forest University. I will graduate in May, 2010 with an English major and minors in Education and Italian. Aside from my four years at Wake Forest and five months in Italy, I have lived my entire live in Chicago.
This is my web-based professional growth portfolio. This website describes me and my relationship to teaching. I made this website to demonstrate my knowledge of teaching, the content I will teach, and my ability to use technology to reach out to a school community. This website is written for all interested in my approach to education. My goal as a teacher is to share both my knowledge of and enthusiasm for language and literature. I am a perpetual learner. I hope that in the process of teaching I can learn from my students' learning and from my experience of helping their learning. I also love to dance.
