Educational Web Site

Welcome! My name is Melissa Johnson and I am a graduate student at Wake Forest University in Winston-Salem, NC. I am seeking licensure as a secondary English teacher. I completed my undergraduate work at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. There, I was a North Carolina Teaching Fellow. Through that program, I spent 2 years observing classrooms in a Durham public school, volunteered with an after-school program in downtown Chapel Hill, and tutored second-graders during their Accelerated Reading time.

I've created this website as a way to share ideas and resources with both pre-service and in-service teachers. Anyone who is interested in the Wake Forest MTF program would also benefit from this site. It will document much of the work I have done in the program and will serve as my portable portfolio when I finish in June. Also, I have included many interesting resources intended for secondary students and their parents.
