LEADERSHIP
What makes a good leader?
A good leader is trustworthy, honest, respectful, responsible, righteous; leaders are good listeners who motivate others and inspire others to try their hardest and do their best in everything they do.
As a teacher I recognize my role as a leader in the classroom and will lead by example through not only my words, but through my actions. I will establish a safe and organized environment where all students are treated with respect and as individuals. I will teach students to be successful individuals and prepare them for life outside the classroom in the 21st Century. I will motivate them to set goals and high standards for themselves, to continue their education through High School and college, and empower them to be collaborative, life long learners.
Making a connection between the school and the home is an important part of being a classroom leader.
