Using the NC Standard Course of Study as my guide, I will create meaningful lessons that motivate students to explore the world in which we live and develop a curiousity for the way things work. I will use a variety of teaching strategies that are rigorous and relevant, which engage students, meet every individual need, and develop higher order thinking skills and inquiry. Wake Forest University has provided me with the knowledge, capacity and skills to go above and beyond what is expected of a teacher and leader in the classroom, to more than prepare students for the world outside of school, cultivating in them the desire to learn and the ability to succeed in everything they encounter through the journey of life.
