My primary interest is in the interplay between evolution and early life experiences in seabird behavioral development. I am currently researching the role of organizational effects in the development of personality and abusive behavior in the Nazca booby and the fitness consequences of these behaviors.  At Willamette University, my research focused on the lateralization of prey delivery and the development of prey manipulation skills in Caspian terns.
