What I do

My primary interest is in seabird behavioral development. I am currently researching the role of hormones in organizing non-parental chick abuse and in November, 2008 will begin a study of the development and consequences of personality in Nazca boobies.  At Willamette University, my research focused on the lateralization of prey delivery and the development of prey manipulation skills in Caspian terns.
