Chemistry Department
X-Ray Facility
The Chemistry Department X-ray Facility was established in 1996 to provide single-crystal x-ray analysis services to members of the Chemistry Department and other users across the campus. In 2003, analytical services were extended to include characterization of powder samples.
Samples can be submitted for total characterization by the director of the facility or graduate and undergraduate students may choose to work under the supervision of the director and carry out their own analyses.
A wide range of structures have been determined for members of the department including organic, inorganic, organometallic and materials complexes.
