Pat's wrote Systematic, Sequential Phonics They Use is out. We call it "SSP." This book contains 140 making words lessons that follow a traditional phonics scope and sequence. It can be used by "special" teachers or tutors, either one-on-one or with a small group of students in grades 1 or 2. The word cards for these lessons are now in a box----that matches the cover of the book. Most "regular" classrooms need Month-by-Month Phonics for their grade level.

Prefixes and Suffixes: Sequential, Systematic Phonics II (or SSP2) is for small groups of children or "special teachers" or tutors in third and fourth grade who still need this.

Big Words for Big Kids is the latest words book in this series by Pat Cunningham. It is for teachers of students in grades 5 and up whose students know alot about words and want to teach even more.
