Focus for this Conference: How We Differenciate Instruction

Currently, thousands of classrooms across the country are using the Four-Blocks® framework to provide balanced literacy instruction for all their children. On Saturday, September 13, 2008 we will host the 13th Annual Four-Blocks® Conference right outside of Winston Salem in Clemmons. This conference will have sessions by grade level and include Building Blocks (K), Four-Blocks® (Grade 1-3), and Big Blocks (Upper Grades, 4+). Presenters will be: Pat Cunningham, Dottie Hall, Amanda Arens from Missouri who will do the upper grades sessions, and ElaineWilliams from Clemmons Elementary who will help with the kindergarten sessions.
The conference will be held from 8:30-3:30 at the Village Inn Conference Center in Clemmons, North Carolina. The Village Inn is approximately 30 minutes from the Greensboro airport and 15 minutes from Wake Forest University off I-40 at exit 184. The fee for each participant is $100 which includes breakfast and lunch and a Four Blocks book. Checks should be made out to Wake Forest University. Deadline is September 5, 2008 or when the maximum number (200) is reached. Space is limited, and registration usually closes early. Acceptances will be sent after your application is received. Because enrollment will be limited to 200 you should apply as soon as possible. We accept PO or checks for payment. Payment is due before the conference but send your form in as soon as possible to hold your place.
Hotel rooms are being held at the Village Inn, Clemmons, NC at $63.00 per room per night.
