Instructional Design, Assessment and Technology is a requirement for all undergraduate Elementary and Secondary Education majors and graduate students seeking initial or advanced licensure. Both courses are designed to help candidates develop proficiency with technology tools and techniques to support 21st century K12 classroom instruction that promotes creativity, communication, and innovation. Candidates will also develop an awareness of strategies to support professional productivity, communication, and school-home relationship building as well as develop an awareness of state and national standards and policies associated with K12 educational technology.
Courses taught in the Fall semester are designed for candidates formally admitted to Secondary Education programs. Courses taught during the spring semester are designed to address the needs of students formally admitted as Elementary Education teacher candidates.
