Welcome to Ms. Carter's Social Studies Website!

"Never mind about 1066 William the Conqueror, 1087 William the Second. Such things are not going to affect one's life...but the 1932 Mars Bar and 1936 Maltesers, and the 1937 Kit Kat - these dates are milestones in history and should be seared into the memory of every child in the country." -Ronald Dahl

My Name is Amber Carter and I am currently a graduate student at Wake Forest University earning my Masters Degree in Education. Originally from Asheville, North Carolina, I recently graduated from Lipscomb University, in Nashville, Tennessee, with a B.A. in History and a minor in English. I am very excited to begin teaching and my experience at Wake Forest has reinforced my enthusiasm for education. I hope my future students, their parents, and my future colleagues will be able to use my website to gain insight into my personal educational philosophy as well as to access some of my favorite social studies educational resources (which can be found on my resources page).
