Requirements:

Oral: Two brief (10-15 minute) presentations on the major themes
          and implications of particular primary texts.
Written: There will be three kinds of written assignments:
            1. Two short (3 page) papers summarizing each of your oral presentations and the
                discussions;
            2. A research paper (18-25 pages for graduate students and 10-15 pages for
                undergraduates) on a particular topic of interest to you; Due: December 3
            3. A take-home final exam
