Leadership

Being a leader in the classroom means taking responsibility for students and their progress.

My classroom will be a safe and structured environment where children feel comfortable expressing themselves and confident in their abilities. I realize the importance of indivualized instruction and plan to know each student well in and out of the classroom. My high standards for all children will motivate them to achieve at the highest possible level.

I will work diligently with my colleagues to ensure that our students have the best resources and instruction available to them. My ability to work collaboratively with other teachers and with the administration will benefit my students and help me develop as a professional educator.

Cultivating the home-school connection by including parents in the learning process is a vital aspect of leadership in the classroom. To demonstrate my ability to communicate effectively with parents I have provided a sample of a Classroom Newsletter that I created in my Technology in Education Course.
