Equipped with his five senses, man explores the universe around him and calls the adventure Science. ~Edwin Powell Hubble, The Nature of Science, 1954
Greetings! My name is Ms. Anderson and welcome to my website. The purpose of this site is to give you more information on myself and my profession as a teacher. I hope that this will provide you with insight into my passion for teaching, science, and community outreach. Two years ago, I made the decision to become a Teach for America corps member. Serving as a Teach for America corps member became the foundation of my passion for teaching and science education. During my time as an 8th grade science teacher, I was able to develop my skills as a community and classroom leader. I know that my goal is to continue to teach in low income classrooms and serve in a nationwide community of teachers who fight to close the education gap. After my two years were complete, I chose to pursue a Masters of Education in order to equip myself with the best tools and resources to serve low income students. I am currently working on this degree at Wake Forest University. Here I am studying to create a cooperative learning, inquiry classroom and to serve as a technology advocate in our schools. The menu on the left will connect you with different pages on my development as a teacher. If you have any more questions or would like to contact me, you may email me. Look forward to hearing from you! |
