My prayers are with the Hearn family. Although I never had the honor of meeting President Hearn, I am proud to have been at Wake Forest. Dr. Hearn's leadership and many significant accomplishments play a tremendous role in my pride. Jack Smith (JD '86)

There is huge void in our hearts now with the passing of Tom Hearn, our WF President, community leader, neighbor and friend. Such a smart man; he gave us so much. Love to Laura and the whole family, Charlotte Hanes, Board of Visitors '05

My condolences to the Hearn family. My prayers are with you all during this most difficult time. President Hearn was a great great man and true leader for Wake Forest University. As a Babcock graduate I saw first hand how his outstanding leadership benefited the entire University and local community.

President Hearn's first full year at Wake Forest coincided with that of our 1984 freshman class. Over the next 4 years, he implemented so many wondrous changes at Wake, including the first co-ed dorm on North Campus. His grace as Wake's leader was evident in all he did. We will miss him. May his memory be eternal. --Eugenia Maish '88

Thanks Dr. Hearn for giving me a chance! I was just a kid from Winston, a poor one with little more than good grades. Thanks for letting me in, and showing what I could do!

In Aug '92 when I met Tom for the first time at our daughter's frosh orientation, I kindly asked him to "take good care of my daughter" for the next four years. He replied "I will" and he did. JK WFU CumLaude'96. TK put WFU on the map; hope a lot of people realize this.
