Oktoberfest is idealized as a time in which everyone puts aside their differences and comes together in the spirit of 'Gemütlichkeit.' Millions of people flock to this oversized county fair, sit together, and drink in camaraderie. My experience at Oktoberfest is one I will never forget.

In my undergraduate career, there were few things more important to me than my service experiences in Calcutta, India. ... Enjoying the Process by Michelle Sikes
Glancing at the official Starter, at the gun — now suspended above his head — which will signal the start of the race, I inhale deeply one last time and search for calmness. ... Two words slice through this mental noise. "Get set." I crouch down further and then remain absolutely still. BAM. Gun off, the line surges forward, I'm running.
