New look to pay vouchers
The Human Resources and Payroll modules went live January 1, after more than seventeen months of training and preparation. Conversion of the Human Resources and Payroll computing processes to the Sunguard SCT Banner software suite brings the University's administrative computing systems one step closer to total integration. The new cross-campus computing system will improve efficiency and allow for better customer service. "The Human Resources and Payroll staff has worked extremely hard to make this transition as seamless as possible for our employees," says Human Resources Director Ralph Pedersen. "Faculty and staff will notice a change in look, but the services to employees will only improve with this new computing system." Program Link had its campus kickoff in October 2003, when it was first announced that the University would replace its administrative computing systems. Departments across campus have been involved in intensive training and preparation for its implementation ever since. The Human Resources and Payroll piece is the second in a series of implementations that began with the Admissions component in August. The Financial Aid module is scheduled to go into operation in late February. |
