War and Death in Uganda

Dr. Sylvain Boko

Monday, October 12, 2009

7:00 pm

Room 145

Greene Hall

Wake Forest University

Dr. Sylvain Boko will be speaking about the impact of the LRA in Northern Uganda based on his Fulbright study of post-conflict development in Northern Uganda.

The goal of this campaign is to raise awareness among students for the crisis situation created by the Lord's Resistance Army. Despite the longevity of atrocities, mainstream media does little to cover the conflict and as such few people know much about it. International response to the crisis has also been weak, but to inspire more and more decisive action in the highest levels of international organization, there must be public pressure to do so. That pressure start with raising awareness.
