Jane: Abortion and the Underground tells the true story of the underground abortion provider service that was formed by a group of women in Chicago in the late 1960s - early 1970s, prior to Roe v. Wade. The service aided over 11,000 women and boasted no fatalities. The play, written by Chicago author Paula Kamen, was based on interviews with the men and women who created the service as well as former patients. All proceeds from the suggested donation of $5 will benefit The Fund for Choice in the Triad with Planned Parenthood Health Systems, Inc.
