As part of the "Cuban Artists Books and Prints" exhibition, a symposium, "Archipelago of Dreams: Cuban Culture, History, and the Business of Art" will include a panel of bestselling Cuban-American novelist Cristina Garcia, artists Tonel (Antonio Eligio Fernandez) and Carlos Estavez, and scholars Milan Hughston (Chief of Library & Museum Archives - MoMA), Emily Wakild (History - WFU), and Lina S Howe (Romance Languages - WFU). Discussants will reflect upon the cultural legacy of the Cuban Revolution as well as new trends in Cuban art and literature. A complete schedule of events can be found here.
