Tenor Glenn Siebert has appeared with many of the world’s most acclaimed symphony orchestras, including the New York Philharmonic, the Los Angeles Philharmonic, the Boston Symphony, Cleveland Orchestra, Philadelphia Orchestra, St. Louis Symphony, Royal Flanders Philharmonic, St. Paul Chamber Orchestra, Boston Pops, American Symphony and many others.
Mr. Siebert’s operatic appearances include leading roles in the operas of Mozart, Britten, Donizetti, Rossini and others with the Hamburgische Staatsoper, San Francisco Opera, Santa Fe Opera, Washington Opera, Opera Theater of St. Louis, Denver Opera, Asturias Festival in Oviedo, Spain, Baltimore Opera, Cleveland Opera, Minnesota Opera, Hawaii Opera and others.
He has participated as soloist in summer festivals and chamber music festivals, appearing with the Ravinia Festival in Chicago, the Blossom Festival in Cleveland, Blair Music Festival in Scotland, the Newport Music Festival, and the New York Festival of Song.
He is the founder and director of the Magnolia Baroque Festival in Winston-Salem, which he established in 2005.
Mr. Siebert’s recordings include Mendelssohn’s Paulus with the Royal Scottish National Orchestra, Handel’s Acis and Galatea with the Seattle Symphony, Berlioz’s Lelio with the Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra, Schubert’s Mass in Eb with the Atlanta Symphony, Nothing Divine is Mundane: Songs of Virgil Thomson and Beethoven’s 9th Symphony with Brussel’s Anema Eterna. Mr. Siebert is a graduate of Indiana University and is currently on the faculty of the North Carolina School of the Arts in Winston-Salem, North Carolina.
Mezzo-soprano Mary Siebert was a national winner of the Metropolitan Opera Competition, and has performed leading roles with Houston Grand Opera, Minnesota Opera, New Orleans Opera, Opera Delaware, Treasure State Opera, and others. Concert appearances include 6 years as resident soloist at the Grand Teton Music Festival and many performances with symphonies and choral organizations. Her eclectic career includes leading roles in musicals and she recorded solo demos with Paul Simon for his Broadway musical The Capeman. She has performed over fifty solo recitals nation-wide with Community Concerts and Young Audiences. A graduate of Indiana University, Ms. Siebert serves Arts Coordinator at the Arts Based Elementary School in Winston-Salem. She designs arts-based curriculum for children, including The Butcher of Seville, a children’s opera created for NCSA’s Fletcher Institute outreach program. Ms. Siebert’s freelance writing has been published in Parenting and Cosmo.
They live in Winston-Salem with their 6-year-old daughter, Veronica. |
