Forsyth County District Attorney Tom Keith has informed Wake Forest University that no charges will be brought in an investigation of a Wake Forest student's report last October that she was sexually assaulted in a university residence hall.
The case is closed, Keith told university officials.
The Winston-Salem Police Department investigated the assault complaint at the request of the university and the district attorney's office. The university police department initially investigated the student's report that she was assaulted Oct. 21 in the early morning hours.
Keith issued a formal announcement March 10.
Keith said he has informed the student of his decision.
