Three student chamber ensembles to perform at WFUBy Pam Barrett Student chamber ensembles from Wake Forest University will perform at 8 p.m. Nov. 23 in Wake Forests Brendle Recital Hall at Scales Fine Arts Center. The concert will feature a trio performing Arcangelo Corellis “Trio Sonata in C Major;” a string quartet playing selections from Samuel Barbers “String Quartet;” and the Quintessential Winds, a brass quintet, playing movements from August Klughardts “Quintet, Opus 79.” The ensembles are directed by Wake Forest Orchestra Director David Hagy and coached by Wake Forest music faculty: the trio by David Levy, professor of music; the string quartet by Hagy; and the Quintessential Winds by Kathryn Levy, professor of music.
