WFUs Anthropology museum explores Japans historyBy Rachel Cook
The KIMONO exhibit will explore the social and cultural history of the kimono and examine how it became and remains a symbol of Japan and her people. Using the museums collection of early to mid-20th century Japanese clothing, dolls and footwear, the exhibit will illustrate the full meaning of the traditional garments.
Museum hours are: Tuesday Saturday, 10 a.m. 4:30 p.m. The exhibit is free and open to the public. Arrangements may be made for school classes and special functions.
