Crainshaw named associate dean at Wake Forest Divinity School

Wake Forest University Divinity School has named Jill Crainshaw associate dean for vocational formation. Previously, her title was director of vocational development at the school. Crainshaw will continue to teach, retaining the title of assistant professor of ministry studies.
Before joining the Divinity School faculty in 1999, Crainshaw taught at Union Theological Seminary in Virgina.
Crainshaw is a 1984 Wake Forest graduate. She was ordained as a Baptist minister in 1987, and earned her master of divinity degree from Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary in Wake Forest in 1988. In1997, she was ordained by the Presbyterian Church. She earned a doctorate in philosophy from Union Theological Seminary in Virginia in1998.
Her first book, "Wise and Discerning Hearts: Prolegomenon to a Wisdom Liturgical Theology," was published in 2000.
