Artists to discuss their work as part of women's studies eventBy Kimberly G. Gentry The Wake Forest University Women's Studies program will host the event, "Kiss the Muse: Gay/Lesbian Artists On Their Work," on Dec. 1. Participating artists will be Billy McLain, a painter and printmaker; John Pickel, assistant art professor at Wake Forest, a photographer and multimedia artist; Sheila Roher, a playwright; and Tammy Rae Carland, a photographer. The event, which is free and open to the public, will begin at 7 p.m. in the Scales Fine Arts Center, Room 102. The discussion is part of a series of events sponsored by Women's Studies under the theme, "Justice, Creativity & Same-Gender Religious Issues at Wake Forest."
