Wake Forest Trustees Elect Medlin Board Chairman

John G. Medlin Jr. of Winston-Salem has been elected chairman of the Wake Forest University Board of Trustees.

Medlin, chairman emeritus of the Wachovia Corp., was elected at the board's Oct. 1-2 meeting on the Wake Forest campus.

As chairman of the Wake Forest board, he succeeds the late Wayne Calloway of Greenwich, Conn.

Medlin was a vice chairman of the board. He is serving his third term as a Wake Forest trustee.
