College of the Overwhelmed
April 7, 2008
College is idealized as a serene and carefree experience. But, the reality is many young people enter college distressed and ill-equipped to handle challenges and pressures. The result: students flounder or become depressed, anxious and sometimes even violent.
Wake Forest University invites you to join us as we examine why college bound and current college students are overwhelmed and what can be done about it. Three prominent scholars, practitioners and directors of university counseling centers will discuss the campus mental health crisis and provide practical solutions for creating healthy environments in higher education.
