Urban studies in an interdisciplinary minor for undergraduates, which can be earned by completing five courses (fifteen hours) from among those listed in the college bulletin. These include courses in art (architecture), urban economics and urban politics, the sociology and history of cities, and urban planning (see college bulletin for descriptions and specific requirements). As the list of courses indicates, the minor emphasizes a broad liberal-arts approach to the urban theme and is not intended to provide a professional credential.
