WAKE FOREST UNIVERSITY ART COLLECTIONS represent a long history of both planned and unplanned collecting. Its nine collections, located in more than thirty-five on and off-campus buildings, are a combination of commissioned works, gifts, bequests, and systematic collecting.

Through varied programming the University utilizes its Art Collections to foster an awareness and appreciation of the visual arts on campus. Exhibitions promote the use of fine art as a teaching tool, enhance the educational environment and as with other Art Collection based endeavors, help to support the University's mission of developing students along a variety of personal dimensions.

Virtual Exhibit will provide the platform through which past and future collection based exhibitions are introduced to a broad audience. These exhibitions serve as a complement to the work done within the campus community and give us the forum through which to develop a new generation of Art Collection patrons in the 21st century.

As you visit these exhibitions make sure to view each of the many images. Please visit often as exhibitions will change. Thank you for your interest in the Wake Forest University Art Collections!
