Andre Tyson (Greenville, North Carolina) studied
at the Inner City Ensemble, School of the Garden State Ballet and the Alvin
Ailey American Dance Center. He has appeared with the Inner City Ensemble,
Newark Dance Theater, Alvin Ailey American Dance Center Workshop and Alvin
Ailey American Repertory Ensemble. He has choreographed works for several
companies and is assistant to Mr. Talley Beatty. Mr. Tyson was a principal
dancer with the Alvin Ailey Company for nine years. At present, Mr. Tyson
is teaching and choreographing nationally and internationally, and is a
guest faculty member at North Carolina School of the Arts.
