Using an External Mouse
The ThinkPad includes an integrated TrackPoint pointing device,
which functions as a mouse. If you plan to use an external mouse
with the R40 ThinkPad, we encourage the purchase of a mouse
that utilizes a USB connection. The R40 ThinkPad does not have
a PS/2 port, but with a USB-to-PS/2 adapter, the R40 ThinkPad
can also accommodate a traditional PS/2 mouse. Please do
not attempt to connect a PS/2 mouse directly to the R40 ThinkPad
as damage will result.
