2 - This amount is the cost of the component. If the replacement results in a labor charge, the price will change.

3 - The amount is the cost of the component only. A labor charge (which can be significant) will also apply.

All prices include sales tax.


ThinkPad Exchange Information

  • Backups will not be available during the exchange process due to time constraints. Students should back up any files they wish to transfer to the new machine before the exchange date.

  • At the time of the exchange, students must return the Lenovo ThinkPad previously issued to them. The ThinkPad must be in good working condition, the ThinkPad must meet all of the following criteria:

    • All internal and external parts must operate properly per Lenovo specifications.

    • The computer and associated parts must be free of damage due to accidents or negligence. Normal wear and tear is expected.

    • All external parts must be intact and in proper working order.

  • Manufacturer-defective internal or external parts are covered under warranty at no cost until the student graduates or withdraws from Wake Forest.

  • Non-Lenovo parts may not be installed or used as a replacement in any Wake Forest University ThinkPad.

  • Students will be subject to insurance deductible charges for all Userdamage repair claims.

  • All repairs and replacements will be handled through the Information Systems Service Desk, Information Systems Building, Room 256.
