Meet Our Staff

Kriss Dinkins
Director, Support and Outreach Services

Kriss directs the Wake Forest University Information Systems support and outreach services. This includes the management of the Information Systems Student Programs, Help Desk and Communications. Kriss has served in this role for the past four years. He joined the University in 1990 and worked in University Advancement prior to joining Information Systems.

Chris McLaughlin
Program Administrator, Knowledge2Work

Chris manages the Knowledge2Work program, coordinates training for ISSP, and is responsible for the ISSP lounge. Chris's favorite thing about his job is introducing students to new ideas, people, and work environments, and helping them adjust to the life changes that come with these introductions. Chris has both his BA in Communication and his MBA from Wake Forest. He has been with ISSP since 2003, and Wake Forest since 2000. Chris married his college sweetheart, Tamara, in 2000, and became a dad in 2006!

Kate Hicks
Program Administrator, Student Programs

Kate joined ISSP in March of 2006. Kate will manage/lead the RTA, STARS, ISSW, and TQ programs. Kate will assist in the coordination of student assistance with the MobileU program. Kate is excited about the opportunity to inspire college students. Kate’s favorite thing about this job opportunity includes the emphasis on technology and the opportunity to enable college students to build meaningful relationships and embody valuable life skills. Kate holds a BS in Business Education from Appalachian State University. She is currently working on her MaEd in Instructional Technology through East Carolina University’s distance education program. She was a high school business education teacher in Raleigh, NC for four years before joining Wake Forest. Kate married her husband Glenn in 2002. Kate and Glenn have a small family, including their cat Silly, with aspirations to expand. Kate enjoys reading, shopping, and adventure seeking. She looks forward to supporting the Deacs!

Ginny Mikkola
Program Assistant, Information Systems Student Programs

Ginny provides assistance for all of the programs within ISSP. She is responsible for payroll, recordkeeping and a great deal of the planning that goes into the maintenance of the programs.
