Goals

The Information Systems Department had several goals in mind when establishing the Information Systems Student Programs (ISSP). We wanted to leverage the students’ technical knowledge to enhance their liberal arts education, as well utilize the talents technically of savvy students to enhance the efforts of the Information Systems department. ISSP provides students with earning opportunities to offset the expense of their education at Wake Forest University and provides leadership and work experience that will make them marketable and valuable resource upon leaving the university.

Attracting a diverse student population is a high priority within the programs. It is imperative that we reinforce and strengthen the recruiting process to insure we continue to attract the high caliber students focusing on diversity, race, gender and major/area of study, yet still meet the desired quality for the programs.
