Critical Computing Security Alert- IE7 Vulnerability
Microsoft recently advised that vulnerabilities with Internet Explorer 7 could allow Web sites or hackers to install viruses, adware and other malicious software, run programs on your computer, and even take control of your computer. A patch is now available.
Visit http://help.wfu.edu/security/msupdate to complete necessary updates to your computer TODAY. Even if you preformed the updates after our communication two weeks ago you MUST perform the High Priority Windows updates NOW. It is important that you do not use Internet Explorer until you update your computer.

Over the past two weeks, Information Systems observed a significant increase in the number of ThinkPads infected by viruses. As we work to identify the root cause, we urge you to insure your ThinkPad is protected with the most recent updates available. Off-Campus Privacy Protection – Use the VPN
Unsecured wireless networks allow anyone to track your Internet use and personal information. Don’t risk releasing your private information! Use the VPN (Virtual Private Network) when connected to unsecured wireless Internet off-campus. (more)
