Background - Archives
Over a 2-week period, traveling from city to city and state to
state on a bus, we will traverse the Deep South on a journey to
examine issues of social stratification in the contemporary American

and Montgomery as well as lesser known places such as Philadelphia
and Money, Mississippi. Each site is carefully selected for its
importance in the history of civil rights. However, we will not
limit our inquiry on the history, rather we will constantly be
asking “what has happened since the historic events took place
on this site?” <Read
